Greeting everyone! As I write this, it is a warm 70 degrees outside at 11 o’clock at night making it feel like winter is still a long way off. Let’s hope our hot summer leads to a cold snowy winter to help balance things out.

BMSD has had a busy summer participating in Grantham’s Old Home Day Parade over July 4th and preparing for our Annual Golf Tournament held at the Newport Country Club on August 25th. I would like to thank all of our members/volunteers who have spent many hours to make our summer events a success.

Before we know it, September will be here and it will be time to start gearing up for the upcoming riding season. Our monthly meetings will restart and trail work parties will be planned. There will be some logging occurring this winter along Corridor 5 through Grantham. We have some planned re-routes in the works that will allow us to by-pass the logging operations. As the season approaches please check our website and/or Facebook page for trail updates.

Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a cold snowy winter and everyone is able to get out an enjoy the trails. Think snow!
